No Bake Cookies and Cream Pie

For this weekend's bake, I decided to go with something easy. I just got a tattoo on my arm and I wanted to make sure it didn't get direct heat from the oven or anything in it since it's still an open wound. I also had a craving for some sort of dessert that contained Oreo cookies. So what's easier and tastier than a no bake pie with an Oreo cookie crust and a delicious cream filled with Oreo chunks and mini chocolate chip cookies? Nothing comes to my mind!

For sure, next time, I will make sure there are a lot more Oreos leftover to make sure I could garnish the top of this beautiful pie with the delicious Oreos this pie featured. But what I created tastes delicious and it's a recipe I'm sure to keep and use!

No Bake Oreo Crust

Ingredients:

  1. 25 Oreo cookies
  2. 1/4 teaspoon salt
  3. 6 tablespoons unsalted butter

Instructions:

  1. In a food processor, or by hand, crush all 25 Oreo cookies.
  2. Melt unsalted butter in a microwave safe bowl.
  3. Once cookies are to the desired size, add salt and butter. Combine.
  4. Using a pie tin, push the cookie crust mixture into the tin. Refrigerate.

No Bake Cream Filling

Ingredients:

  1. 1 cup heavy whipping cream
  2. 1 cup powdered sugar
  3. 1 1/2 tablespoons vanilla extract
  4. 1 block (8 ounces) Philadelphia cream cheese, room temperature
  5. 1 can sweetened condensed milk
  6. Rest of package of Oreos
  7. 2 cups mini chocolate chips
  8. Oreo crust (from fridge)

Instructions:

  1. Combine heavy whipping cream, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract in a medium sized bowl. Using hand or stand mixer, whip until the mixture has stiff peaks.
  2. In another medium sized bowl, add the cream cheese and whip until soft and creamy. Add in the sweetened condensed milk and combine until fluffy (about 2 minutes).
  3. Gently fold in the whipped cream, chocolate chips, and Oreo cookie chunks into the cream cheese mixture.
  4. Pour the filling into the Oreo crust and refrigerate for 2 hours until set.
  5. Sprinkle mini chocolate chips around the edge of the pie.

If you love Oreos, you will really love this easy pie! It tastes just like the Oreo cookies that star in this pie! And the pinch of salt in the Oreo cookie crust makes all the difference! I like making sure my baked good have both sweet and salty aspects to make sure everything is balanced. I love a sweet dessert, don't get me wrong, but I really love a balanced dessert that doesn't make my teeth hurt!

What should I bake next?
